Dielectric Analysis (DEA) measures the two
fundamental
electrical characteristics of a material - capacitance and conductance
- as a function of time, temperature, and frequency. When these
electrical properties are correlated to molecular activity, it will
allow the chemistry, rheology (flow), and molecular mobility
(relaxation) of viscoelastic materials to be studied. What you can
obtain from DEA measurement:
- Permittivity
- Loss factor
- Dissipation factor
- Phase transition temperature
- Ionic conductivity
- Cure behavior of polymer
- Polymer morphology
