The GPC measures the molecular weight and
population distribution of dissolved polymers. Both organic and aqueous
polymers can be tested.
By using size exclusion columns and a combination
of light scattering and refractive index detection, the GPC can obtain
absolute molecular weights without comparison to polymer chromatography
samples.
